The Knuckleheads of the Day award

Goes to Florida Governor Jeb Bush and the corporation JP Morgan. They get it for the still ongoing Hurricane Wilma food stamp debacle here in Florida. I've blogged on this story multiple times here, here and here for example.

A South-Florida newspaper has finally reported on the story I been reporting on for three weeks. The Sun-Sentinel today has a damning article about how badly this relief has been botched here in Florida.

The state Department of Children & Families, which administers the Food for Florida program, estimated last week that between 28,000 and 32,000 families had not received their cards on time.

DCF is blaming JP Morgan for the mishandling. Still its DCF's job to make sure this is done, and my contacts with these people have proved to be a bureaucratic run-around. No one wants to take responsibility. Including JP Morgan who won't comment further to the Sentinel.

Governor Bush don't care. I broke this to his office three weeks ago. No one in his office returned my calls. Bush rather travel around on his fat butt eating fancy meals than help the citizens of the state who elected him. A sorry excuse of a Governor we have.

For massive incompetence, apathy and abandoning the citizens of the state of Florida in the wake of a disaster, Governor Jeb Bush and JP Morgan are today's Knuckleheads of the Day.
