The Knucklehead of the Day award
Today's winner is Reuters. They get the award for this story.
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Separate groups of gunmen entered two primary schools in Baghdad on Wednesday and beheaded two teachers in front of their students, the Ministry of State for National Security said.
"Two terrorist groups beheaded two teachers in front of their students in the Amna and Shaheed Hamdi primary schools in Shaab district in Baghdad," a ministry statement said.
A ministry official said he believed the attacks were aimed at: "intimidating pupils and disrupting learning."
A horrifying story but it just isn't true.
Just one more instance of the MSM reporting what news fits their perceptions instead of their facts. Here is another recent example.
Note- I tried to give our local newspaper a lead on a story 4 months ago. The Palm Beach Post never did anything with my lead, but the story was news in at least two other South Florida outlets. The Post wanted confirmation, why didn't Reuters do more digging to confirm the story either?
For lowering the credibility of the MSM another notch, Reuters is today's Knucklehead of the day.
