The Knucklehead of the Day award

Goes to the New York Times and Photographer Thir Khan. They get the award for the staged missile photo shown here. It shows some Pakistani men standing around a 'missile' shell as the NYT captions it. As Thomas Lifson at American Thinker points out, its not a missile shell at all. Rather a artillery shell. Something that wasn't fired in last week's failed attempt on Al-Qaeda's #2 al Zawahiri. Oops!

For staging a false photo op, The New York Times and photographer Thir Khan are today's knuckleheads of the day.
