Commentary, sarcasm and snide remarks from a Florida resident of over thirty years. Being a glutton for punishment is a requirement for residency here. Who am I? I've been called a moonbat by Michelle Malkin, a Right Wing Nut by Daily Kos, and middle of the road by Florida blog State of Sunshine. Tell me what you think.

More on the missing food stamp story

I blogged three times on this story last week. You can click here, here, and here to read my earlier posts.

Let me explain something. These are not normal food stamps, but emergency ones funded as part of disaster relief to people here affected by Hurricane Wilma. Regular food stamp recipients get no extra benefits, but people who don't normally get food stamps including firemen and postal workers could if they meet the income requirement.

If you been through a hurricane you'd know this is a big help to the citizens of Florida. You're house is damaged, food spoils because of lost electricity. $165-500 of food stamps depending on the size of your family is a big helping hand.

One of my two friends got their DCF card last Thursday. A card that was supposed to be mailed on November 15, was postmarked November 28th. Today my second friend received their card that was supposed to be mailed November 18th. The envelope was postmarked December 1st, the day after Connie Reinhardt at EBT called to check if they had received the card. That's how dumb this whole story is, bureaucrats calling to check if a mail is received that hasn't even been mailed yet. The company responsible for the mailings is JP Morgan.

The media with the exception of Channel 12 hasn't covered this story. Our politicians aren't doing anything either. Governor Bush's press office has not returned my phone calls. What a bunch clowns and knuckleheads all around. Bush is travelling all over and eating fancy meals and the citizens in this state are getting screwed over for the second time in a month. Just corrupt fools who one day are going to be surprised when a revolution starts. Continue with your complacency knuckleheads, your day will come.
