Commentary, sarcasm and snide remarks from a Florida resident of over thirty years. Being a glutton for punishment is a requirement for residency here. Who am I? I've been called a moonbat by Michelle Malkin, a Right Wing Nut by Daily Kos, and middle of the road by Florida blog State of Sunshine. Tell me what you think.

The Knucklehead of the Year awards- Judiciary

The first Knucklehead of the year awards is back. Today's category is the Judiciary and if you have read my blog on a regular basis, there are some real knuckleheads masquerading as judges out there.

Read this post if you want an explanation of how I set up this year's awards. Our judging panel remains the same.

Jo at Jo's Cafe
Don Surber
John in Carolina
Greta aka Hooah Wife plus Yours Truly

Our Six nominees for today are

1- Scotus Justices Kennedy, Ginsberg, Breyer, Souter, Stevens
2- Nunces County Asst. County Attorney Thomas Stuckey
3- US District Court judge John Coughenour
4- Palm Beach County State Attorney Barry Krischer
5- Florida Circuit Court Judge Ric Howard
6- Broward County Judge Eileen O'Connor

The vote here wasn't even close. All five bloggers picking the same winner, but Greta giving a split vote. She felt Mr. Stuckey and the Judge in Texas were equally a winner for tearing apart a family.

Our Judiciary winner is........

US Supreme Court Justices Stevens, Breyer, Ginsberg, Souter and Kennedy

These five Knuckleheads originally won the award on June 23rd for their majority votes in Kelo vs. The City of New London. A decision where five people didn't even bother to read the constitution. Kelo has already become one of the most infamous decisions in Supreme Court history.

John in Carolina commented- I hope Kelo is repealed. If not, than I hope at least Souter’s home is condemned for use as a hotel and convention center where in a few years we can hold the Kncuklehead Awards banquet.

Way to go Judges! You are the second Knucklehead finalist for 2005.

Come back December 23 and 26-29 to see who will join Kenny and five Supreme Court Judges as our other finalists plus come here December 31st to see who the grand Knucklehead of 2005 is. Till next time.
