Solheim Cup- Day Three The Finale

Going into today's singles matches the US and European teams are all square at 8-8. The US rallied to win three of the four morning foursomes matches then held on for dear life to split to split the afternoon four ball matches.

Some notes on yesterday's play

*- Juli Inkster showed few or no signs of her infected finger bothering her.

*- Rosie Jones and Laura Davies are playing incrdibly well at the moment. They will be hard to beat in singles matches today.

*- Christina Kim is so animated as she yells at the golf ball. She is fun to watch play.

*- Annika Sorrenstam's play continues to be erractic. No one under-estimates her ability however.

So twelve singles matches to go today. Here they are. Top Player is USA, the bottom Europe.

*- Why is Rosie Jones 12th? Rarely does the Solheim or Ryder Cup matches get decided in the final match. The 1991 Ryder Cup being more an exception than a rule. Matches 9-11 are most likely to be the decisive ones. I would have put Jones 10th or 11th, Rosie is playing so well at the moment.

*- 8:35 match is the one of the pregnant golfers. Both Laura Diaz and Iben Tinning are expecting. Is this co-incidence or pre-arranged?

*- I would have led off with Christina. She's the team sparkplug. Then I would have ended 8-12 with Creamer, Daniel, Kerr, Diaz, Inkster. Then I'm not the Captain. Nancy has Ward and Redman too low in my opinion and Nilsmark has done the same with Nocera.

Should be an exciting day of golf. Guess what I'm going to be watching?
