MIAMI -- A home in Miami was riddled with dozens of bullets over the weekend in an apparent drive-by shooting.

Police said a gunman fired more than 100 shots at the house using an AK-47 assault rifle during.


It happened Saturday at a home located at Northeast 175th Street and Seventh Court. No one inside was injured.

NBC 6's Hank Tester reported that sources close to the case said the shooting happened because a girl rejected a prom date proposal.

Neighbors said the woman who lives inside the house has a 14-year-old daughter.

I doubt the 14-year-old will be going on any prom dates soon.
