The Knucklehead of the Day award

Today's winner is the Palm Beach Post. They get the award for the news I reported back in this blog post of a week ago. The newspaper claimed Target Stores would be laying off over 150 employees when moving their Boynton Beach store to a new location. As TFM discovered, the Post got the story totally reversed.

Update- I just spoke to Lena Michaud at Taget's corporate offices. Target isn't firing any of the mentioned store's employees at all but will be transferring them to the New Super Target. Plus over 100 more employees will be hired in addition to those being transferred.

All it took was a phone call to Target Corporate headquarters to get this story straight. The Post hasn't issued a correction for their goof five days after publication. For once again printing lies as news, The Palm Beach Post is today's Knucklehead of the Day.
