The Knucklehead of the Day award

Today's winner is NBC newscaster Brian Williams. He gets the award for the following.

“You’re going to be up against people who have an opinion, a modem, and a bathrobe. All of my life, developing credentials to cover my field of work, and now I’m up against a guy named Vinny in an efficiency apartment in the Bronx who hasn’t left the efficiency apartment in two years” — Brian Williams, anchor of the “NBC Nightly News,” speaking before New York University journalism students on the challenges traditional journalism faces from online media.

What Doug at Below the Beltway say is true, the big media is really afraid of blogs. Because we hold them accountable. Look what the local newspaper did two days ago. The Post still hasn't issued a correction though they've known since Friday morning they had badly bungled the news. I've called AP with corrections to this man's work, and have gotten hung up on. Williams feels threatened and has to make insults to defend himself. What does that say about the broadcaster? Better yet what does it say about the MSM when they can't admit they're wrong?

My name isn't Vinny, and I don't live in either The Bronx or an efficiency apartment, but you Brian Williams are today's Knucklehead of the Day.
