Rock, paper, scissors

Here's an amusing story out of Orlando-

Paper covers rock. Rock smashes scissors. Scissors cut paper.

The players:

Attorneys in a civil suit, unless they can agree on a location to hold a deposition.

A federal judge in Orlando recently ordered the attorneys to play a game more associated with playgrounds than courtrooms. U.S. District Judge Gregory Presnell wrote the order apparently after attorneys could not agree where to take a deposition, something he called "the latest in a series of Gordian knots that the parties have been unable to untangle without enlisting the assistance of federal courts."

The judge ordered attorneys in the case of Avista Management versus Wausau Underwriters Insurance Co. to come up with "a neutral site agreeable to both parties." If they could not, Presnell said they must appear on the steps of the federal courthouse in Tampa at 4 p.m. on June 30 for a game of "rock, paper, scissors."

The winner would get to pick the location in Hillsborough County where a witness in the case could give his deposition.
Judge Pressnall's order made me laugh. Whatever it takes to make these so called grownups to act their age is fine with me. If this don't work a few days in the corner could be tried.
