Travelling Man
May be the two best words to describe South Florida Congressman Robert Wexler. He is fifth among congressman for overseas trips paid for by outside interests.
Q has learned that U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler is not number 1 - at least when it comes to travel paid for by private interests.
No, Wexler is not the top traveler - he is number 5, according to Political Money Line which reports that Wexler received $174,764 in paid travel since January 2000.
Wexler, a member of the International Relations Committee, has traveled to more than 20 countries including Morroco, Kuwait, Oman, Israel, Poland, China, Germany, Saudi Arabi, Taiwan, India, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Austria and Jordan.
All of the trips were sponsored by various organizations and institutes.
I wonder if all these trips were koseher for the Jewish Congressman. Pun intended of course. For Wexler is a two-time Knucklehead award winner. There aren't too many people who can say that. Does he brag about it on his trips?
