Memo to the Palm Beach Post- Your editorial page is obsolete
Mr. Schultz,
It has come to more and more people's attention that the Post is severely lagging behind the times on the editorial page. Let me take the time to point out why.
On May 26th 2005 the Ligaya Lagman/American Gold Star Mothers story broke. Your editorial page commented on this story not till June 6th. By then your editorial was over come by events, namely that Ms. Lagman withdrew her application.
This isn't a one time occurence either. Today you have an editorial on the troubling situation at Florida A&M University. This news broke last week. I myself was blogging about it on July 1st. You can read the post here.
I think you should realize in this day of blogs and internet news, that a newspaper has to be just as up to date. Other newspapers such as the NY Times, Washington Post and countless others manage to remain timely. Your paper even did so today in its editorial on the London bombings. It really isn't that hard and you can do it.
Please take this time to make your page more up to date. It won't hurt either if you remove two of your more ill-informed writers, Mr. Jac VerSteeg and Mr. Thomas Blackburn. They seem not to gotten the memo either on current events. You can check here and here.
Cordially,
A Palm Beach Post Subscriber
