Commentary, sarcasm and snide remarks from a Florida resident of over thirty years. Being a glutton for punishment is a requirement for residency here. Who am I? I've been called a moonbat by Michelle Malkin, a Right Wing Nut by Daily Kos, and middle of the road by Florida blog State of Sunshine. Tell me what you think.

Further proof you can't trust anything in the New York Times

The NY Times had a most interesting editor's note today.

The Op-Ed page in some copies yesterday carried an incorrect version of an article about military recruitment. The writer, an Army reserve officer, did not say, "Imagine my surprise the other day when I received orders to report to Fort Campbell, Ky., next Sunday," nor did he characterize his recent call-up to active duty as the precursor to a "surprise tour of Iraq." That language was added by an editor and was to have been removed before the article was published. Because of a production error, it was not. The Times regrets the error.

Heavens to Betsy, a publication that claims all the news thats fit to print inserts bias into stories. Say it ain't so Joe?

On a serious note. The editor has no business inserting their bias into an op-ed piece they know exactly zero about. The Times regrets the error. How much of this bull crap goes on at NYT? A hell of alot I have to guess.

As Captain Ed pointed out

And this is on the Op-Ed page, where the only function of an editor should be to correct spelling and grammar and to cut out text for article length, not to make things up to pad it out.

Just imagine what all those editors do to their news articles!

Yes I have seen what they can do with the news.

Keep it up NYT. You're fast becoming the laughingstock of the news media rather than the paper of record.
