Broward County Commission Follies

There was a talk show host here in South Florida named Lee Fowler. One of his trademark songs was "Welcome to South Florida. The rules are different here." No words could be truer.

Down in Broward County after spending 3 million dollars to renovate a warehouse and after taking out a $110,00 a month lease, five county commissioners decided to scrap this plan. Instead a 40 million dollar HQ will be built. This is all reported by the Sun Sentinel.

The most ridiculous thing about this monumental waste of taxpayer money is a quote from County Commissioner Ben Graber.

In supporting the project, Graber said future taxpayers would be pleased by the new government center."Let's give them something they can be proud of," Graber said.

Broward County voters should tell Mr. Graber how big a moron he is at the next election.
