Former Congressman Henry Hyde dead at 83
Hyde will most likely be remembered for his abortion stance and his work on Bill Clinton's impreachment. Controversial stands, but Hyde was called by the Almanac of American Politics 'one of the most intellectually honest members of Congress.' You could agree or disagree with Hyde, but either way he was worthy of respect. RIP.

WASHINGTON - Longtime Congressman Henry Hyde has died at the age of 83. The office of House Republican Leader John Boehner confirmed his death today.
The Illinois Republican steered the impeachment proceedings against President Clinton and championed government restrictions on the funding of abortions during a decades-long House career.
Hyde had represented his suburban Chicago district for 32 years before retiring last year.
He'd been recovering in a Wheaton hospital after heart surgery and couldn't make the trip to Washington, D.C. earlier this month when he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
