Hit and run and run and run and run
From the Tampa Tribune-
TAMPA -- A 49-year-old Brandon man was killed after being hit by five cars yesterday evening on Interstate 4, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.Granted, the accident did happen at night time but I'm supposing at least one of the drivers who left the accident scene knew what they hit. How can you sleep at night after running over a human being?
Only one of the cars stopped to report the accident.
The man's name has not been released.
The man was crossing the westbound lanes of I-4, just west of I-75, when he was hit by a car in the right lane about 8:45 p.m. The impact sent him into a second car in the left lane and that collision put him in the center lane when he was hit by a third car. That impact put him in the eastbound lanes where he was hit by two more cars, FHP officials said.
The second vehicle to hit the man, a 2004 Taurus driven by 33-year-old Alexander Rascionato of Tampa, stopped to report the accident.
Troopers are searching for the other vehicles involved. The third car to hit the man likely has damage on the front, officials said. The fourth and fifth vehicles likely have damage underneath the car.
