LARGO -- A 26-year-old man was arrested after police say took his toddler daughter with him to a weekend burglary, Largo Police Department officials said.

Richard Howard Byrd, 973 2nd Avenue NE, Largo, faces charges of burglary and child neglect in connection with a burglary at Bellair Pawn, 400 West Bay Dr., where several Sony PlayStation video games were stolen, police said.

Byrd consented to a police search of his home and confessed to the crime, officials said.

I'm sure Mr. Byrd's daughter will make an excellent witness. "Daddy showed me how to pick a lock." Out of the mouths of babes as they say.

Truthfully I don't know why any self respecting burglar would take their young child to a crime scene. Who needs to be worried about diaper changes and the police at the same time?(Sarcastic laughter time)
