Commentary, sarcasm and snide remarks from a Florida resident of over thirty years. Being a glutton for punishment is a requirement for residency here. Who am I? I've been called a moonbat by Michelle Malkin, a Right Wing Nut by Daily Kos, and middle of the road by Florida blog State of Sunshine. Tell me what you think.

Memory loss

Or is it just sloppy reporting by multiple media outlets when it comes to discussing or reporting the carnage in Virginia this week.

For example, The Canada Free Press-

Seemingly within minutes of Cho Seung-Hui killing himself and bringing the worst mass murder in U.S. history to an end,
Or The Trentonian-

Andrew Williams of West Windsor walked out of the building at Virginia Tech minutes before the killer showed up and started shooting, committing the worst mass murder in U.S. history.
Or The Savannah Morning News-

Little is known about the shooter who killed 31 people and apparently wounded another 29 in the worst mass murder in U.S. history.
Or The San Jose Mercury-Times-

When I awoke the next morning, the name of the perpetrator of the nation's worst mass murder
How can so many people in the MSM be so stupidly wrong. As The Jawa Report points out(In an excellent post well worth reading), what happened in Virginia isn't even close to the worst mass murder in US history.

The Bath Michigan Bombing(45 dead)
The Happy Land Arson(87 dead)
The Oklahoma City Bombing(168 dead)
Not to forget

The 9-11 attacks(2998 dead)
One other mass murder not making the list but bigger than the Virginia Tech killings, is the United Flight 629 bombing. A bomb placed by John Gilbert Graham killed all 44 on board.

Note- There are a few other fires, Triangle Factory and Coconut Grove, where criminal negligence killed many times the amount of people who died Monday.

I can excuse people for forgetting the United bombing, but forgetting the other killings is just inexcusabley sloppy and dumb reporting from members of the press. Why can't the MSM do the simplest fact checking before making fools out of themselves?
