Who done it?
A Delta Airlines Flight had to do a go around at West Palm Beach airport(My home airport) yesterday. The pilot of the landing plane says another jet was on the runway, the FAA says there was sufficient space between the flights.
I'm not going to pass judgement, PBIA is a small airport, not spaghetti like major ones. There are two large runways that paralell one another and a few smaller ones.
This story just reminds me of two siblings when confronted by their mother. Both children point a finger at the other and say. "Mom he(she)did it!"

Aviation officials concluded that a plane landing at Palm Beach International Airport was not in danger of colliding with another plane that was taking off.
The Delta Airlines pilot was cleared for landing Sunday afternoon when he maneuvered the plane back into the air. The pilot made an announcement to the startled passengers that another plane was on the runway and he looped back around for a safe landing.
However, Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said there was sufficient room between the departing Southwest flight and the arriving Delta flight.
"The Southwest flight departing on the runway would've completed its takeoff and been airborne before the Delta plane landed. ... There was no near-collision," she said.
She said the landing was witnessed by controllors, a supervisor and operations manager.
"It's always the pilot's discretion if they want to make the missed approach. We don't second-guess the pilot," she said.
