A sister update and a few other things

*- My sister Patty began chemo on Tuesday. She was running a fever this weekend due to a urinary tract infection.

I talked to Patty today. She sounded good and was in high spirits. Please keep her in your prayers.

*- I'm not going to Rhode Island till after Easter. Work and another issue came up that has forced me to postpone this trip.

*- One of the reasons I'm postponing is my wife has to see a specialist the day after Easter. It's about her liver. We don't know much at this point but please pray for us. If anything happened to my wife I'd be lost in more ways than you can imagine.

*- I bought a new laptop at Circuit City today. A Gateway that was 1,099 before rebates and not including an extended service plan. Maybe I'll be able to keep blogging after a hurricane next time. My old laptop has been shot for some time.

*- Blog traffic at TFM has picked up of late. Some of it can be thanks to links by Salon and Overlawyered and my coverage of the priest in Belgium. Also I've recommenced trackbacking my knucklehead posts to Mudville Gazette. My traffic greatly increased beginning on Thursday but my traffic was up some before then last M-W.

Whether this is an annomaly or not I'll find out soon.
