The Co-Knucklehead of the Day award Part Two
Our second winner is Senate Minority leader, Democrat Harry Reid. President Bush spoke at the Naval academy yesterday. Here is part of what Deb Riechmann at AP writes.
Even before Bush finished speaking, Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid issued a statement claiming that Bush "recycled his tired rhetoric of 'stay the course' and once again missed an opportunity to lay out a real strategy for success in Iraq that will bring our troops safely home."
The Nevada senator charged that Bush failed to meet a call by the Senate to tell Americans the administration's strategy for success in Iraq.
The speech isn't over and Reid has his reply. He didn't bother to listen. As Don Surber points out the Democrats aren't anti-war, but anti-Bush and this is just more proof. Our fighting men and women are just political pawns to this Senator. For that, Senator Harry Reid of Nevada is our second Co-knucklehead of the day.
