Commentary, sarcasm and snide remarks from a Florida resident of over thirty years. Being a glutton for punishment is a requirement for residency here. Who am I? I've been called a moonbat by Michelle Malkin, a Right Wing Nut by Daily Kos, and middle of the road by Florida blog State of Sunshine. Tell me what you think.

Justice in Texas is different than justice in the rest of the United States. There, judges are openly partisan, making campaign contributions right and left. Today, Texas moved a little closer to having impartial judges when a second judge was removed from the DeLay case for making campaign contributions.
Not surprisingly, at least one liberal is making excuses. Needlenose: "So who's going to be the judge in this case? The bar has been lowered so far they'll have to either bring in someone from out of state or find a judge who doesn't have any political affiliation ..."
No, the bar has been raised. Judges are supposed to be impartial. There are not supposed to be Republican judges or Democratic judges. Judges are supposed to be above the hint of impropriety. They can belong to a political party, of course, but goodness, they should not be bankrolling political campaigns.
