The Knucklehead of the Day award

For the second day in a row the award goes to a Pennsylvania politician. Today it goes to the Governor Ed Rendell who will send a written apology to the Goodrich family as in reported in today's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Governor Rendell says written apologies will be sent to the family of a dead Marine who was upset about the lieutenant governor's appearance at his funeral last week.

On Saturday, the Post-Gazette reported that family members said Caherine Baker Knoll went to Tuesday's funeral uninvited, passed out her business cards and made a remark about the government being against the war.

The clueless and classless Lt. Governor definitely owes the Goodrich family an apology. BUT IN PERSON NOT BY SOME LETTER. Better yet Governor Rendell, you drive this knucklehead personally to the Goodrich home yourself and apologize both in person for your sorry ass conduct. Why didn't the Lt. Governor come out with a statement instead of you???

But the real reason the governor gets a knucklehead award is because of this statement.

"It's not the business of state government to support the war, but our state supports the men and women who are fighting this war," Rendell said during an appearance in Mt. Washington.

Governor Rendell doesn't give a hoot about our fighting men and women. He is just another sick democratic politician who rather abuse those who keep jerks like him and his brainless Lt. The state of Pennsylvania now has two knuckleheads in state office. I'm hoping for some remedial action in November 2006.
