Palm Beach County Style-

A 40-year-old man died early Saturday morning west of Lake Worth after he was run over by his wife when he tried to stop her from driving away during a domestic dispute, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff's investigators.

Nick Lane, 40, of the 9200 block of Fountain Road, jumped on the hood of a 1995 Dodge truck driven by Rhonda Lane, 41, as she drove east on Fountain Road. A 14-year-old boy was in the truck with Lane.

Nick Lane fell from the hood of the truck and was run over. He was taken to Delray Medical Center, but was pronounced dead at 12:15 a.m.

Neither Rhonda Lane or the 14-year-old were hurt. Sheriff's deputies said alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident and that charges are pending.

If charges are pending, it seems safe to guess Rhonda Lane was under the influence or responsible for her husband's death. Very sad overall. The 14-year-old was probably the child of one if not both Lanes. The young man witnessed the death of one of them. He I feel very sad for.
