Where's the dramamine? Chapter Twenty Four
We have another episode of You Only Die Twice by South Florida newspapers. First the Sun-Sentinel reports-
BOYNTON BEACH - A 3-year-old died from his injuries Tuesday night from a crash about 7 a.m. Monday on southbound Interstate 95 south of Hypoluxo Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.My condolences to Mrs Lopez Gonzalez. I know what it is to lose a child.
The crash occurred when the boy's mother, Gabriela Lopez Gonzalez, 18, of Boynton Beach, made an improper change of lanes into a semitruck, "spun around and made a vicious collision in the barrier wall," Lt. Tim Frith said.
The child, David Lopez, was not securely fastened in the child seat and flew forward, crashing his head, Frith said.
He died at Delray Medical Center with his mother by his side, Frith said.
Now compare that article to what the Palm Beach Post reports-
So where did the boy die? St. Mary's or Delray Medical? Unless there was some transporter accident, like in this Star Trek episode, David Nunez can only have gone to one hospital.
A 3-year-old boy died in a car crash after his improperly installed child seat flew from the back seat of his mother's Suzuki sedan.
David Nunez Lopez was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center around 7:13 Monday morning, but he died of a head injury Tuesday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Tim Frith.
A simple story but one newspaper can't get its facts straight. Can you believe anything printed today?
