Where's the dramamine? Chapter Twenty
You could call this Sun-Sentinel story 'You only die twice.'
BOCA RATON - The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a woman who fell from the back of a moving pickup truck about 3:45 a.m. Tuesday on northbound Interstate 95, near Yamato Road.So Ms. Torrence died twice. Isn't she lucky? Anyone at the Sun-Sentinel heard of proofreading?
Caroline Torrence, 33, died at the scene, said Lt. Tim Frith said.
Her boyfriend, Daniel Balena, 29, stopped after pulling off the Linton Boulevard exit in Delray Beach about 7 miles down the road and realizing Torrence had fallen out, Frith said.
Torrence was taken to Delray Medical Center, where she died.
The article went on to say police are investigating. What kind of person drives seven miles down the road not knowing their girlfriend fell out a vehicle?
Balena said he didn't know she fell out, despite several witnesses who saw her, Frith said.
Rick at SOTP has an answer.
