Commentary, sarcasm and snide remarks from a Florida resident of over thirty years. Being a glutton for punishment is a requirement for residency here. Who am I? I've been called a moonbat by Michelle Malkin, a Right Wing Nut by Daily Kos, and middle of the road by Florida blog State of Sunshine. Tell me what you think.

The Knucklehead of the Day award

Today's winner is Foxy Brown. She gets the award for the following.

In recent years, Foxy Brown has become better known for her rap sheet than her rap albums.

Brown's list of legal troubles grew longer Thursday when she failed to show up for an arraignment in Broward court. Broward Judge Joel Lazarus has issued an arrest warrant for Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand.

The 27-year-old Brown was arrested and jailed overnight last month after a dust-up at a beauty supply store in Pembroke Pines. Police say she threw hair glue at an employee and later smacked an officer.

She's been charged with battery and resisting a law enforcement officer with violence.

Brown did not notify the court that she would not appear, nor do court records show that she has retained an attorney in the case. Her failure to appear in Fort Lauderdale Thursday afternoon could have serious effects on other sentences she's currently serving in New York.

Earlier this month, Brown pleaded guilty to a probation violation for leaving New York state without permission.

In that hearing, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson decided not to add to Brown's probation time, but in the hearing, Jackson warned Brown that any further probation infractions could result in a one-year jail sentence.

In 2004, Brown was sentenced to probation and anger management classes after a fight at a Chelsea nail salon.
Ms. Brown apparently has little common sense. Judge Jackson should throw her ass in jail for standing up a Broward County Judge. But first I make Foxy Brown today's Knucklehead of the Day.
