TAMPA - A Tampa woman is accused of throwing a baseball bat at her 12-year-old son during an argument, hitting him in the back, according to an affidavit. Tampa police on Wednesday charged Dilcia Burgos, 35, of 9310 N. 19th St., with felony aggravated child abuse. She was being held Thursday at Orient Road Jail. Bail had not been set.

A criminal report affidavit states that Burgos was arguing with the boy as he sat with his 1-year-old sister in the back seat of a vehicle about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. Near North 43rd Street and Sligh Avenue, as the boy ran from Burgos, she threw a baseball bat at him, the affidavit says.

No other details were available Thursday.
