A suspected bank robber may have bitten more than he could chew when he robbed a bank around 11:44 a.m today in Tampa.

The suspect entered the Bank of America office at 3439 West Hillsborough Ave. and demanded money at gunpoint.

The man stuffed the money in his pants and fled the bank on foot. Unfortunately for him, the red dye pack exploded soon after he exited the bank. According to police the dye packs explode and burn at about 425 degrees. The suspect may be suffering from some serious burn injuries, according to police.

Tampa Police officers are still looking for the suspect, who scattered almost all the money on his way out after the dye packs exploded and burned him. Police have recovered almost all of the money.
