The July 4th Knucklehead of the Day Marathon Part One

To celebrate America's independence, TFM will have an all day marathon of knucklehead awards. Call this TFM's way of using fireworks.

Our first knucklehead winner is Jeremy P Hood. An AWOL coastguardsmen, Mr. Hood did the following at Key West International Airport.

While keeping the man under observation, two Coast Guard officers arrived at the airport and took the man into custody, stating he was AWOL. The man then bolted from the Coast Guard officers as they tried to get him into their car. He ran into the airport terminal, shouting several times that he had placed a bomb in the car and that "everyone was going to die."

Airport deputies stepped in and took the man into custody, charging him with disorderly conduct and making bomb threats. The Coast Guardsman, identified as 20-year old Jeremy P. Hood stationed aboard the cutter Mohawk, was taken to the County Detention Center where he was booked into jail on the charges.

What a knucklehead! No further explanation is needed. Jeremy P Hood is our first knucklehead of the day.
