Commentary, sarcasm and snide remarks from a Florida resident of over thirty years. Being a glutton for punishment is a requirement for residency here. Who am I? Did the Miami Herald cross a journalistic line?

Here's the story about a shooting in Lighthouse Point. Note- I lived about 7 blocks from this address from 1976-1979.

A man was shot dead and a woman was recovering from injuries after what authorities called a ''domestic incident'' in Lighthouse Point Friday.

The homicide drew local media to the small, mostly upscale residential community in northeast Broward. The city sits on about 3 square miles, filled with small canals, near the ocean.

The woman was taken to North Broward Medical Center and treated for minor injuries, BSO said. She was still at the medical center in stable condition Friday night, according to BSO.

Officials did not release the names on Friday. The home is owned by John Russo, who bought the house in 2002, according to property records. Neighbors said a couple named Jack and Michelle had lived there for several years, mostly keeping to themselves.
Did you note the Broward Sheriff's Office didn't name the shooting victim but the Herald went ahead and named the owner of the house? There is a reason police don't name the victim, it is so the police can notify the family. Not the news media. The Herald did it instead in my opinion.

If you click here, you'll find out that Mr. Russo was the shooting victim.

Way to go Miami Herald and Diana Moskovitz. You're both a couple of MSM losers, for you're more concerned with getting a scoop than if you may hurt anyone in your haste. Just count yourselves lucky you didn't win a knucklehead award.

Does anyone disagree with me and my view of the Herald and how they covered this story?
