A Montgomery man reported Sunday morning that a friend shot him in the left testicle.

The incident occurred at 10:35 a.m. in the 60 block of East Patton Street, police reports show. Robert Williams told police he was involved in an altercation with another man when the man produced a .22-caliber handgun and shot him.

Williams could not be reached for comment.

He was taken to the emergency room at Baptist Medical Center South, where he was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries, reports state. He received a grazing wound, medical officials told investigators.
