The Knuckleheads of the Day award

Today's winners are Sheila and Gary Hall. They pled guilty to child neglect charges. This consisted of them allowing two of their children to use heroin.

Just another time where I can't believe the actions of a parent. To top it off, these parents are still allowed supervised visitation with their children. May do them alot of good, the Halls are facing jail time. For doing an irresponsible act with their own children, Sheila and Gary Hall are today's Knuckleheads of the day.

NORWALK, Ohio -- A couple pleaded guilty to child neglect charges that they allowed two of their three children to use heroin.

Despite their pleas Thursday in Huron County Juvenile Court, Sheila and Gary Hall were released from jail pending charges in other drug-related cases, Juvenile Court Administrator Chris Mushett said.

The Halls, arrested in December in a raid of their home in Ripley Township, have been accused of using and selling heroin in the presence of their children, ages 7, 12 and 14, authorities said.

The parents also have been accused of allowing the two older children to use heroin left over from their supply, two to three times a day, Mushett said.

The two older children are in foster care and the 7-year-old is in the custody of his maternal grandparents. Their parents have been granted supervised visitation through the Huron County Department of Job and Family Services, Mushett said.
