The Knuckleheads of the Day award
Goes to former FBI agent David Farrall and his attorney John Howes. Mr. Farrall in 1999 was involved in a auto accident in Ft. Lauderdale Florida where two brothers were killed. At the time Mr. Farrall was driving on the wrong side of the road and drunk but the Florida Highway Patrol botched the investigation. Eventually the former FBI agent was convicted of drunken and reckless driving he was sentenced to 90 days in jail. Mr. Farrall time in jail started on September 1st.
On September 5th Mr. Farrall's attorney John Howes petitioned the court for Mr. Farrall's early release. Five days into his sentence! A Broward judge is going to hold a hearing today.
The whole case is outrageous and now Mr. Farrall wants off early. Where was the justice in this case? Hell I have chronicled more than once how warped our judicial system is, and here we have another instance. Mr. Farrall deserved to rot in jail for years, two men are dead because of him. Now he and his warped lawyer want him off in less than 30 days for two killings.
For having no shame but alot of chutzpah, David Farrall and John Howes are today's Knuckleheads of the day. If you want to read the entire Sun-Sentinel article, click here.
Wednesday Special/Open Trackback- Jo's Cafe and Mudville Gazette
Update- Judge Marc Gold turned down Farrall's request.
