Let him rot

This @#^&! would never see the light of day again. Mr. Courtney was a mass murderer in my opinion. Thirty years is getting off way too easy.

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (AP) -- A former pharmacist convicted of diluting chemotherapy medications lost his appeal of his 30-year prison sentence.

Robert Courtney, 52, was sentenced in 2002 after pleading guilty to diluting pharmaceutical drugs. Prosecutors said 4,200 patients could have gotten the weakened drugs.

On Monday, a three-judge panel of the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld its previous sentence.

The U.S. Supreme Court returned Courtney's case to the 8th Circuit for reconsideration, part of a larger ruling that invalidated sentences for 450 defendants who claimed federal sentencing guidelines were unconstitutional.

Courtney's lawyers said the judge extended Courtney's sentence based on claims of "serious bodily injury" in incidents where Courtney was never charged, and "extreme psychological injury" based on statements from Courtney's victims and their families.
