PORT ST. LUCIE — An exotic dancer revived a client who passed out during a private strip show early Friday morning, police said.
Mid-performance around 5 a.m. this morning, Karnesha Nantz turned her back to Daniel Karpinksi for about 20 seconds, police said. When she spun to face him again, Karpinski, 46, was slumped over on his couch and struggling to breath, police said.
Police say Nantz, who lives at 150 S.W. Dalva Ave in Port St. Lucie, called 911 and began administering CPR. Paramedics arrived to the home at 482 S.E. Evans Ave and took over.
They revived Karpinski so he could breathe, though he was still unable to speak, police said. He was transported to St. Lucie Medical Center and is doing fine, police said.
Nantz told investigators Karpinski had offered her perscription narcotics several times during her performance, said police, who found a bottle of prescription oxycodone with Karpinski's name on it in the house.
Police say Karpinski told investigators that Nantz offered him an unknown pill wrapped in a towel. He said he took the pill, then did not remember anything until waking up in the hospital, according to police.
An investigation continues.
