Florida the rules are different here Chapter LXX

Pants stealing robbers are on the loose here in Palm Beach County.

Police are looking for violent, gun-toting pants thieves who are apparently roaming city streets between Seacrest Boulevard and Ninth Avenue.

In at least three incidents between October and mid-November, a dark-colored sedan approached people on the streets in the early-morning hours and a passenger fired a gun, Boynton Beach police said.

All three victims were injured in the attacks, and one remains hospitalized at Delray Medical Center, according to a report.

In the first incident, which happened on Oct. 2 on Seacrest Boulevard, a dark car pulled up to a man, a passenger got out and a second passenger fired at the man from the car.

When the man fell to the ground, the passenger grabbed his trousers and said, "I like these pants," according to a report. He then took the man's pants, got in the car and sped away.

In the most recent attack, which happend on Nov. 12 at about 4:45 a.m., a car drove up to a man, a passenger pointed a gun and a second passenger demanded the man's pants. When the man was slow to respond, the passenger shot him several times and fled the scene, police said.

Note- The area in question is not far from where my son is buried. Dear wife and I will be cautious when making our twice weekly trips to Boynton.

I'm guessing the thieves don't want the pants so much as what is usually contained in a man's pants pocket. Maybe men should start putting money in their shoes(but a bad limp will give it away) in the future.

Life in Florida= It is seldom if ever boring. Rick at SOTP is also commenting.
