A waste management employee is charged with littering over 500 lbs, a 3rd degree felony. I thought waste management was supposed to haul away not dump the trash. Don't you just love Florida.

A Lehigh Acres man has been arrested and charged with littering.

On Friday, at about 6:30 a.m. the Lee County Sheriff's Office received
information about illegal dumping in the area of Terry Avenue North and 5th
Street West in Lehigh Acres.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office was contacted and responded to the scene.

Investigation revealed an employee of Waste Management, Roger Acosta Mosegues, allegedly had been dumping the debris after being told by his driver not to.

Mosegues, 24, of 604 Calvin Ave., was arrested and charged with violation of the Florida litter law, littering over 500 pounds, a 3rd-degree felony.

Lee County Waste Management also responded to the scene to pick up, weigh
and dispose of the debris, the sheriff's office said. Waste Management said the total weight of the debris was 2,920 pounds, or 1.46 tons, costing $645 to dispose.
