They didn't get the memo

The Palm Beach Post and its political writer George Bennett apparently didn't in regards to Congressman Alcee Hastings' re-election.. Why else would they post as new news something that was reported in another newspaper 40 miles to the South. Four days ago!

U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Miramar, won re-election the easy way when his opponent withdrew from the race Wednesday.

Next thing they'll be reporting is that George W Bush beat John Kerry. Anyone get the memo at the Post? Time for sarcastic laughter.

I've said it before, does anyone at this paper read other newspapers other than their own? Tunnel vision seems to epidemic at this paper, and not just at the editorial page.
