Air France flight down at Toronto Airport

An Air France A-340 has gone down at Toronto Canada's Pierson airport. After crashing the plane caught on fire. No reports on casualties yet, but Fox News is reporting no fatalities. That I find HIGHLY unlikely. A jet trying to land, missing the runway or crashing off one. Fuel, structural damage, it would be a huge miracle if no one was be killed. Over two hundred people are on board.

This is a time when the talking heads take over. The networks will speculate and reports unverified facts. Still people are drawn to televisions at a time like this. I just would take any news at this point with a large dose of skepticism.

Airbus 340's like the one in the crash have had no prior crashes with fatalities. The last major air crash in North America was Amer. Airlines flight 587 tjhat crashed shortly after takeoff at JFK airport in November 2001.

Update- I am happy to say I was wrong. There were no fatalities today in Toronto. Miracles do happen.
