The Knuckleheads of the Day award
Today's winners are Amnesty International and the head of its American branch, William F Schultz. A recent Amnesty report that was released condemned US treatment of prisoners and compared the detention camps at Guantanamo to the gulags used by the fallen Soviet Union.
There's only one problem, Mr. Schultz yesterday on Fox News said that he "doesn't know for sure" what is even going on at Guantanamo. Here is the link to the Washington Times article.

Amnesty concedes no hard evidence
By James G. LakelyTHE WASHINGTON TIMES
The head of Amnesty International's American branch yesterday acknowledged that he "doesn't know for sure" what is going on at Guantanamo Bay prison, although Amnesty International's secretary-general has called the terrorist prison run at a U.S. military base in Cuba a "gulag."
However, William F. Schulz defended the description made last week by Irene Khan, saying on "Fox News Sunday" yesterday that America's "archipelago of prisons throughout the world" are "similar in character, if not in size" to the Soviet gulags, where millions of political prisoners were killed.
"I don't believe [the charges] are irresponsible," said Mr. Schulz, the executive director of Amnesty International U.S.A. "I've told you the ways in which I think that [there are] analogies between the Soviet prison system and the United States."
Mr. Schultz you should be ashamed of yourself. You have no proof and you're slandering our troops to suit your political agenda. Any person who knows something about the gulags would know the comparison you make is a joke. Show us examples of hard labor, inforced starvation, beatings. Come on Mr. Schultz, I dare you to. Put up the proof or crawl back into the rat hole you came from.
What's almost bad as Mr. Schultz is the MSM reporting this like its the commandments passed down to Moses by God. Amnesty's report fits much of the media's bias, and when it doesn't few reporters will take the time to ask serious questions would show this report to be a sham.
Also note, Mr. Schultz gave $2000 to the John Kerry campaign. That says a great deal about where he is coming from.
For being a unashamed progagandist Mr. Schultz, you are today's Knucklehead of the Day
