Gov. Charlie Crist on Thursday assigned the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office to investigate claims that two Broward judges inappropriately accepted gifts or loans from an attorney who regularly appeared before them.Considering the other clowns, buffoons, and crooks already populating the Broward County bench, I'd think it would be best and safer to clean house of every single one of them. It won't ever happen, that's the sad part. How many more people will lose their property or liberty before a revolt happens not just in Broward, but nationwide?
Retired Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin, who presided over the Anna Nicole Smith probate battle, is accused of soliciting and accepting a $1,000 purse from attorney Lawrence "Chris" Roberts. Seidlin and his family also are accused of receiving land deals and costly gifts from an elderly neighbor.
County Judge Robert S. Zack is accused of taking a $2,500 loan from Roberts.
Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle will handle both cases. Broward State Attorney Mike Satz asked the Governor to make the assignments.
