The Lake Wales News, A weekly Florida newspaper, has its website get hit with X-rated spam. Spaming on the internet is nothing news, but in this case no one at the News knew about the links till the paper was contacted by a reader. The Florida MSM, giving new meaning to the phrase 'Asleep at the Switch.' Isn't this a great state or what?

A weekly newspaper in Florida gave visitors to its guestbook more than they bargained for after the site was spammed by a pornographer.

The Lake Wales News was hit last week by a spammer who posted a series of links to hardcore pornography, the Lakeland Ledger reported.

It took the paper more than week to take the site down.

"I had no idea that was there until now,' said S.L. Frisbie IV, associate publisher of the News.
