She should have said Nay

The latest news in the Katherine Harris saga.

U.S. Senate candidate Katherine Harris received a campaign contribution from an Ohio congressman who has agreed to plead guilty to accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in exchange for political favors, marking the third time the Florida congresswoman has received money from a tainted source.

Harris, who received illegal campaign contributions from a disgraced defense contractor and years ago accepted contributions in one of the Legislature's biggest fundraising scandals, received $6,000 from U.S. Rep. Bob Ney's political action committee, American Liberty PAC, when she ran for Congress in 2002 and 2004.

Harris said Thursday that she can't return the money or give it to charity.

''The money came for my congressional race. It's been spent. It's gone. We'd have to research what we can do,'' Harris said.

She noted that her Democratic opponent, U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, gave a similar response in the mid-1990s when asked about tainted contributions he received from an insurance company called Riscorp, which also contributed to Harris.
That's a great defense congresswoman, if true you're both crooks. Please give up your embarassing campaign. You are a state joke already and are hopelessly behind. Why you're still running is beyond my or most Floridian's comprehension.
