Commentary, sarcasm and snide remarks from a Florida resident of over thirty years. Being a glutton for punishment is a requirement for residency here. Who am I? I've been called a moonbat by Michelle Malkin, a Right Wing Nut by Daily Kos, and middle of the road by Florida blog State of Sunshine. Tell me what you think.

Wilma

She is now a Category five hurricane. The storm is trekking through the western carribean and will pass over or near the Mexico and Cuba.

Right now it was happens after this that is troubling. Wilma is expected to turn northeast towards Florida. It should weaken before getting here, but Wilma appears headed for southwest Florida and across the state. Right now Palm Beach County is in the middle of the cone. Stay tuned.

Update- Welcome Michelle Malkin readers. We're keeping a wary eye on Wilma right now. Its still too early to plan definitive plans but my family and I have been through this drill before. If Wilma is coming our way and the straight line places it near or going over Lake Okeechobee. That's western Palm Beach County where I live. If we're in for a hit or close call, we'll will batton down the house and maybe also bug out to either my sister-in-law in Miramar or a friend in Miami. Right now its wait and see.

Florida Cracker is also blogging on Wilma. She isn't worried about the bird flu anymore. Please Pray for both of us, our families and all residents of Florida.

Poliblog, Bright&Early and Outside the Beltway are commenting on Hurricane Wilma too.

5 p.m. update- The newest advisory is not as certain about Wilma's future path. She may still come to Florida but a few computer models have the storm hitting the Yucatan. I'm going to stay up for the 11 p.m. advisory. If we look anything like getting hit this weekend, we will start securing the house tomorrow.

Please pray for all those in this storm's path.
