Commentary, sarcasm and snide remarks from a Florida resident of over thirty years. Being a glutton for punishment is a requirement for residency here. Who am I? I've been called a moonbat by Michelle Malkin, a Right Wing Nut by Daily Kos, and middle of the road by Florida blog State of Sunshine. Tell me what you think.

The Knucklehead of the Day award

Today's winner is Donald Trump. He gets the award for the following.

On a conference call with analysts Tuesday, Trump responded to questions about the home of a widow with whom he has clashed in the past.

Vera Coking refused to sell her house to Penthouse magazine publisher Bob Guccione back in 1980. He built a casino - never completed - around her home. She stayed boxed in until 1993, when Trump finally knocked down the building frame.

Trump lost a legal battle five years after that to take over her three-story property for an expansion of the nearby Trump Plaza.

Her house might be an issue again, he said on the conference call.

"If necessary, we can build around her just as Mr. Guccione was going to do many years ago before he fled Atlantic City," Trump said. "We could build around her if necessary, and possibly that will happen."

The billionaire versus the little old lady. I'm sure it gnaws at Trump to have been beaten by this woman. So he throws tirades instead. Poor man, he may have lots of money but Trump has no manners or respect for his elders. What a spoiled man child he is and now Donald Trump is today's Knucklehead of the day.
